Round Thirteen of the Kingstone Press Championship was made up of six simultaneous kick-offs on Sunday afternoon.

Hull KR travelled to the Batley Bulldogs as they looked to continue their quest for an immediate return to Super League. Toulouse were at the tenth placed giant killing Swinton Lions, and the Bradford Bulls were at Sheffield Eagles on the continued quest for zero points.

Elsewhere, Oldham were in London, Halifax at Dewsbury Rams and Rochdale Hornets hosted Featherstone Rovers.

Swinton Lions scored a stunning 27-20 victory over Super League hopefuls Toulouse Olympique XIII at Heywood Road. Dwyer picked up two first half tries for the home side and Atkin kicked one conversion and three penalties with just a solitary Curran converted try for Toulouse for a half time scoreline of 16-6. Minga, Marcon and Marguerite gave the visitors the lead on fifty-seven at 20-16 but Swinton came back valiantly with tries from Dwyer for his hat-trick and Thornley. An Atkin drop goal on seventy four made it 27-20 and Swinton came home with the points and the upset of the afternoon.

It was the easiest of afternoons for the league leaders as the Robins put Batley Bulldogs to the sword at the Fox's Biscuit Stadium. Mulhern opened the scoring and by half time he'd been joined over the whitewash by Shaw and Hefernan, both twice, Abdull and Dockar-Clay for an interval lead of 38-0. One for Ellis, Shaw completing his hat-trick, Dockar-Clay getting his second and a brace from Butler-Fleming along with a total of ten Ellis goals gave Hull KR sixty-eight points with the only blemish a seventy-fifth minute unconverted Hayward try for the home side for 4-68.

The Sheffield Eagles had an excellent afternoon smashing the Bradford Bulls by 52-16. Brown (2), Wheeldon and Lo gave the Eagles a 20-0 interval lead with a Wheeldon second half hat-trick, for four on the day, and a Fozard try making it 48-0. The Bulls had an eight minute purple patch during which time Thomas, Campbell and Hodgson scored but the final try went to Scott for Sheffield for a big win.

Halifax maintained their interest in the top four, despite falling to fifth on points difference, with a confident win away at the Dewsbury Rams. Tyrer had given 'Fax the lead but tries from Igbinedion and Day put the home side 10-6 ahead. Saltonstall scored Halifax's second before the break and with the Tyrer conversion they took a two point lead into the interval. Tangata, Tyrer, Heaton and Robinson all scored for the visitors before Glover grabbed one back for the Rams. The game was over and won before Barber got 'Fax's seventh of the afternoon and Morton responded for the Rams for 18-36.

The London Broncos needed a big win to lift themselves into fourth spot on points difference, and that is exactly what they got as they put Oldham to the sword at the Trailfinders. Dixon, Hellewell (2), Williams and Pewhairangi (2) opened up a 30-0 before Tyson grabbed one for Oldham just before the break to narrow the margin. In the second half it was a Broncos procession with tries from; Harrison (2), Sammut (2), Pitts, Ioane, and second tries from Dixon and Hellewell with just a solitary Thompson effort in response as the Broncos recorded a 74-12 win.

With Toulouse losing, Featherstone went out clear in second spot with a 38-8 demolition of Raochdale. Hardcastle and Hardman had set out the Fev' stall in the opening ten minutes before a Greenwood try for the Hornets. Hardman quickly added his second and there were tries from Knowles and Turner (2) for a 28-4 interval lead. The pace calmed in the second half with tries from Wildie and Taulapapa making it 38-4 before a late consolation try from Massam for a final scoreline of 38-8.
